“I’d stop changing for you.” Aston, a Stone Pack Beta, has been content in his role as Jasper’s second in command, but after watching his Alpha find love with his mate, he starts longing for a mate of his own, but his wolf isn’t interested in any of his current options. Tasked with a reconnaissance mission, he is set upon by shifters from the Milton Pack and saved by a woman who instantly arouses his wolf. Too bad she’s not a shifter. “I’d change everything for you.” All Jade remembered when she woke in the hospital was the handsome man she’d met in the woods, but what was she doing there to begin with? Then he showed up at the hospital to check on her and eventually brings her home to recover with his enormous extended family, hoping to help her regain her memory. Over time, bits and pieces come back to her, but she doesn’t like what she discovers. Can they overcome their heritage to build a future?
Here's a teaser from Lexi...
Aston slowly made his way up the stairs. Lost in thought, he almost didn’t notice Jade asleep on the bed, wearing a pair of leggings and a tunic. She looked like an angel with her hair radiating around her head. At first, he simply stared at her. She was truly beautiful. For the first time since he’d known her, she seemed almost peaceful.
Gently, he sat on the bed beside her, leaned down, and sniffed again. Nothing. He wasn’t crazy. His wolf danced around inside making him wildly uncomfortable. Fighting his wolf was exhausting. For just a moment, he wanted to imagine what life would be like if he didn’t have the wolf. After all, if this were the case, he could have Jade. He bent close to her ear and whispered, “I’d stop changing for you.”
